Hello and Welcome to February’s Pinterest Challenge!

Each month, our lovely host Cindy from CountyRoad407.com, chooses a photo each month to inspire a group of creative blogging buddies. Using the inspiration photo, we recreate something similar, but in our own personal style.

If you are visiting from my friend Marty of A Stroll Thru Life, welcome! I am so glad you are here! Marty always shares the most creative ideas and this challenge is no exception. Isn’t her tulip door basket beautiful?

This month our beautiful inspiration photo comes to us from Kristi of Chatfield Court. This photo looks like spring…so pretty, bright, and welcoming! It is the inspiration for my pink and white floral spring wreath.

Spring Floral Wreaths

Nothing says welcome to a new season like a wreath! I love to craft and create wreaths to decorate my home and share with you here. Some favorites are this Simple Spring Floral Wreath and this Easy DIY Floral Spring Wreath, that I recently made.

Kristi’s gorgeous wreath is made entirely of tulips, similar to my Spring Tulip Wreath. I took my inspiration from the pretty shades of pink she chose. I also decided to incorporate shades of pink and white, along with a few tulips into mine.

Follow this step by step tutorial to create your own DIY floral spring wreath. For this wreath, I followed a similar process that I used to make my Easy DIY Floral Spring WreathFloral Summer Wreath, and Simple Fall Wreath.

DIY Floral Spring Wreath Steps

  1. Lay your lambs ear garland on top of the grapevine wreath. Then, using zip ties, attach the garland to a piece of the grapevine. Pull the zip tie tight to secure the garland. Clip off any excess piece of the zip tie.
  2. Using the wire cutters, cut apart the Italian ruscus greenery stems. Tuck them on the sides of the wreath, alternating inside and outside.
  3. When you are happy with the placement of the stems, add some hot glue to each stem. BE VERY CAREFUL when using hot glue! I highly recommend using these hot glue finger protectors. You may also want to use a popsicle stick to tuck and press the stems into the wreath.
  4. Next cut apart the hydrangea branch, leaving a couple of inches of each stem. Arrange the hydrangeas on the wreath. Repeat the process to hot glue the hydrangea stems.
  5. Repeat the process for adding the ranunculus, pom pom stems, tulips, leaves, and pink sedum stems.
  6. When finished, make a hanger using twine or thin ribbon. Attach it to the back of the wreath.
  7. Hang and Enjoy!
