Hello and Welcome to August’s Pinterest Challenge!

This Pinterest Challenge is hosted by talented friend Cindy of CountyRoad407.com. Each month, one inspiration photo is chosen and each of the participating bloggers use that photo to recreate something similar, but in their own personal style.

Instead of a home decor project, Cindy put a little twist on this month’s challenge. The Pinterest Challenge for August is all about PUMPKINS!! Actually…it’s all about pumpkin crafts!! How fun is that?!

As you know, I love to craft, so this challenge was one that I was excited for!

Each creative craft is linked here, so please scroll to the bottom of this post to visit our pumpkin palooza!

If you are visiting from my friend Christy of Our Southern Home, welcome! I am so glad you’re here! Don’t you just love Christy’s gorgeous style and her beautiful faux pumpkin arrangement?

Our Inspiration

Our beautiful inspiration photo just looks like fall. I love the beautiful shades of orange and texture of this fabulous faux pumpkin.

Fall Crafts

Fall is one of my favorite times of year to create and craft. In the past I have shared these Gingham Painted Pumpkins, Leaf Stamped Tea Towels, and a Simple Fall Wreath.

But one of my favorites things to decorate and craft with is dried hydrangeas. I love faded, dried blooms and got to thinking about how I could incorporate some dried flowers into this challenge.

A few weeks ago, I shared how to make a pressed flower jar. I decided to do something similar, with a pumpkin, instead of jar. Pretty dried flowers paired with pumpkins make this craft perfect for fall seasonal decorating.

I received a dried pressed flower pumpkin as a gift, and it has shellac on it. Will this last? Or what can I do to preserve it?
    Thanks!

    1. I am sure it is beautiful gift, but if it is a real pumpkin, I am not sure that it will last. It may be something to be enjoyed throughout the autumn season. The pressed flower pumpkins I have decorated were made with artificial pumpkins.
