You can purchase pressed flowers at your local craft stores or on Amazon. Some sets come with tweezers included. Here are some of my favorite pressed flowers:

What type of jar should I use?

You can used any glass jar with smooth sides. I used a large glass vase from Dollar Tree and some Oui yogurt jars.

How to Make a Pressed Flower Jar

  1. Make sure that your jars are clean and dry.
  2. Using your paint brush, add a thin layer of Modge Podge where you want to place your flower.
  3. Place your flower (you may need to use your tweezers for this step) and then carefully, use your paint brush to add a thin layer of Modge Podge over the flower.
  4. Lastly, add a thin layer of Modge Podge over the entire jar to ensure an even texture.

Helpful Tip

  • Use a thin paint brush. In some of the pictures, you will see that I used a foam brush. I felt that the Modge Podge created a thicker texture than I desired. When doing this project again, I realized that using a small brush works much better. It is easier to use on the delicate flowers and helps to provide a thinner layer of Modge Podge.
