Fall Home Tour 2016
Hello friends and welcome to my fall home!  I am so glad you are here!  I am thrilled and honored to be part of Festive Fall Home Tours, hosted by Debbie from Chatham Hill on the Lake and Karen Marie from Dragonfly and Lily Pads.  Thank you, ladies, for including me!
“Autumn…
the years last loveliest smile”
William Cullent Bryant
Autumn is one of my favorite times of the year. Â Here in Connecticut, this season makes a beautiful appearance as vibrant colored leaves begin to dot the landscape. Â A crisp chill in the air has me longing for thick flannel and warm, chunky sweaters. Â The rich scent of pumpkin spice is all around. Â And…in my home, my light, airy summer decor gets switched out for warmer colors, thicker textures, and natural elements.
Welcome! Â Come on in and stay awhile. Â I would love for you to enjoy my home while it all dressed up for fall.
Our foyer is small, but cozy. Â In here is my dear grandmother’s deacon’s bench that I absolutely love. Â It is a perfect place to drop a coat or bag when coming in the front door. Â Family photos that my son helped me hang line the walls, under the sign “All because two people fell in love”.
To add some natural color and texture, I have added a pumpkin basket with gourds, a neutral knitted blanket, and a fun textured pumpkin from the dollar bin at Target.
In our living room, I used some fresh baby pumpkins and a fresh gourd to add a few pops of color.
I love this silver bowl, filled with festive potpourri. Â Ahhh…so fragrant.
My family and I are enjoying this Gather pillow cover from the incredibly talented Lucy at Craftberry Bush.  Along with a warm textured throw, it adds a pop of color and makes this a comfortable place to relax.
On the coffee table sits a vintage tray, filled with seasonal decor. Â I love the Spiced Pumpkin scent. Â What fall scent do you enjoy most?
On the chest, I have a simple fall vignette, complete with my Fall Favorites Printable that I made.
Do you remember growing up with Sunday dinners? Â I am trying to bring them back…even if it is just once a month. The table is all set.
These hydrangeas are dried from my yard. Â I love the way they look in this white pitcher and bowl.
The maple leaf pattern on these plates are perfect for fall.
The Re-purposed Shutters Wall Art was a project that I had some fun with this past summer.  This side table is styled with a Goodwill find candle stick, as well as a fun initial sign and holiday pick that I found at Hobby Lobby.
A few pumpkins pop against the white milkglass on the hutch.
Let’s continue this fall home tour and head into the kitchen. Â The kitchen is the heart of our home and the place where everyone seems to hang out. Â My kitchen doesn’t get a great deal of light, but the stark white cabinets helps brighten the space. Â I kept the seasonal decor pretty simple in this room.
There are just a few touches of fall in here. Â Sunflowers and greens from my yard fill up mason jars in my great-grandfather’s tool chest, while a basket of Honeycrisp apples add some pops of color.
Muted warm toned dish towels were found on clearance at Sur La Table last year. Â Another candle of my favorite scent, Spiced Pumpkin, sits on the counter.
Are you hungry?  How about a pumpkin bar and a cup of tea?  Enjoy this recipe for  Perfect Pumpkin Bars.
Help yourself to a plate and a fork.
Let’s head into the family room for the last room of this fall home tour.
This is where my family and I love to hang out together and watch TV, play some games, or just curl up with a good book.
Another pillow cover from Craftberry Bush adds an autumn touch.
This refinished coffee table was another summer project that I decorated this tray with a variety of pumpkins and dried hydrangeas that fill a container that I found at our local exchange.
These milk bottles are filled with boxwood from my yard.
Our mantle welcomes you with some pumpkin garland.
I found this fun “GATHER” banner at Target last week in their dollar bins!
On the hearth, fresh mums add some natural color. Â The pots are wrapped in craft paper. Â I added a few more textured pumpkins from the Target dollar bin. Â I love their neutral patterns.
A basket of festive corn and gourds adds more color and texture.
Thank you for stopping by my fall home tour! Â It’s been so nice to have you join me today.
As you can tell, I like to use natural elements for seasonal decor. Â What are some of your favorite ways to bring fall into your home? Â I would love to hear your thoughts. Â Please visit again soon!

Hi Lynne:
Very very pretty,
I like how you put together your vignettes. You incorporated all the best elements of fall. I always enjoy vintage peppered in decor. I especially enjoyed the milk glass vignette and the gingham gather bunting.

I LOVE everything about your home. Some of my favorite decor elements are the pumpkin pillows, dried and fresh flowers, and those cute napkins! I also love that you put boxwood branches into jars. What a great idea! I would have never thought of that. 🙂 Perfection is the only word I can describe it as.

Such overwhelming fun through the home. I had a lightbulb moment when I saw the pillows in the basket. ( it drives me nuts when my husband throws our pillows from the couches on the floor). I love your kitchen, and especially the sunflowers in the wooden box with the jars. It would take me hours to make that look as cute as you did. Sunflowers are my favorite. Thank you for sharing your home.
