Materials

  • Dollar Tree pizza pan
  • paint acrylic, mineral, or chalk paint in any color
  • jute roping
  • vinyl or letter stickers
  • transfer tape
  • artificial greenery/florals
  • ribbon

Instructions

  • The first thing you want to do is paint the base of your pizza pan. It took two coats of Fusion Mineral paint to cover it completely, letting it dry between coats.
  • Once the front of the pizza pan is completely dry, flip it over and hot glue a piece of jute on the back. This will be used to hang it. Now that the base is done, let’s decorate!
  • If you are using a Cricut, choose your font and cut your vinyl lettering.
  • Using the transfer tape, align the vinyl lettering or letter stickers and adhere them to the pizza pan.
  • Using a hot glue gun, adhere the artificial floral stems to the pizza pan.
  • With your ribbon, make a bow (I used my Bowdabra to do this), and glue the bow on the rim of the pan. Now, hang it and enjoy!

Notes

You can use acrylic paint, as I did on my DIY Patriotic Pizza Pan Door Hanger, mineral paint, or chalk paint. You will need to use multiple coats of paint, with time to dry between coats.
When our weather is a little warmer here in Connecticut, I am planning to try spray Chalk Paint. I think the spray paint will give a smoother finish, while chalk paint sticks to anything really well.
