Pinterest Inspired Valentine Button Art Heart
Hello and welcome to the first 2018 monthly Pinterest Challenge Blog Hop, hosted by My Pinterventures. The purpose of this Pinterest Challenge is to motivate all the participants of this hop (and you too) to not just pin, but to make it happen! So this month, I chose to Button Art Heart from Mama’s Crafty Place.
While cleaning out my basement, I found some old tiles that the previous owner had left behind. Instead of throwing them away, I remembered that I had pinned this cute Valentine’s Day craft idea last year. I had all of the materials on hand to make it happen. To make this project, you will need:
- a tile
- scrapbook paper
- an X-acto knife (and mat) or scissors
- ModPodge
- buttons
- glue gun with glue sticks
- ribbon or any decoration you may want to add
First, trace and cut the scrapbook paper to size.
Next, adhere the paper to the tile. To seal the paper to the tile, apply ModPodge, allowing it to dry for 15-20 minutes between coats. I used 3 coats.
Plan out your design. Using a hot glue gun, I glued the buttons in the shape of a heart. Lastly, I added ribbon to the top and the bottom of the tile, for a finished look.
I hope you give this simple Valentine’s Day craft a try!
