Happy Tuesday, my friends!

I hope your week is off to a great start!

This week, I have spent some time working on the blog, behind the scenes. My Family Thyme got a little refresh for Spring. I am hoping that you find it easy to navigate and it brings an enjoyable experience to all who visit!

This upcoming week will be a great one here on the blog! The One Room Challenge kicks off tomorrow! The One Room Challenge is a challenge where featured designers and guest participants are challenged to transform a room or space in just eight weeks. This challenge is not a competition, but is a celebration of creativity and inspiration. Check back tomorrow to see which space I will be taking on, along with my plan. I can’t wait to get started!

On Friday, I will be joining a talented and creative group of bloggers for the Thrifty Style Team! This team of bloggers shares thrifty, affordable home styling/decor ideas. I am always amazed by all of the ideas shared there. There is so much inspiration shared here! You don’t want to miss it!

Before I share this week’s fabulous features, I have some helpful tips for you!

Weekly Household Tip

I loved my kitchen floor when I initially picked it out.  I still love the neutral tile, but the grout is another story.  After trying many different remedies, I finally found an easy solution to keep it clean.  Mix 7 cups water, 1/2 cup baking soda, 1/3 cup lemon juice, and 1/4 cup vinegar.  After mixing it in a bucket, pour it into a spray bottle. This solution should fill up two spray bottles.  Then just spray on the grout.  Let it sit about 10 minutes and then scrub with a stiff bristle brush.  Wipe with a towel.  After cleaning the grout, steam mop the floor.

Weekly Blogging Tip

If you are planning to update your site’s theme anytime soon, remember this…

If you choose to install the new theme on a staged site, be sure to launch the updated site BEFORE you publish any new posts. After you create the staged site, anything new that you have published will not transfer to the new updated site.

So, be sure you have a day or two to work on your staged site, push the site through to go ‘live’, THEN start adding new content! 😉
