Tuesday Turn About #142 Spring Ahead

Welcome to Tuesday Turn About!

Since turning the clocks ahead last weekend, it is really starting to feel like spring is here in Connecticut! Even though we’re all missing that hour of sleep and feeling a little tired, I am loving the extra hour of daylight. It’s almost like we’re all coming out of winter’s hibernation!

Someone who is loving the extra light is my sweet Sadie girl! More sunlight means a longer walk after I get home from school. How are you spending your extra hour of daylight?

Next week is a busy week at my house! It’s birthday week! My son’s birthday is March 22 and my daughter’s is March 24th. They’re both going to be home next weekend to celebrate and I can’t wait!

It was a fabulous week here at Tuesday Turn About! With spring right around the corner, I am excited to share some features that are perfect for the upcoming season.

Thank you so much for linking up and sharing your creativity with us! Don’t forget to head over to Cindy’s and Julie’s blog to check out their features too!

Be sure to hop over to My Wee Abode and Reinvented Delaware to check out SIX additional features from Tuesday Turn About! If you haven’t been featured at My Family Thyme this week, you may have been featured there!

Before I share this week’s fabulous features, I have some helpful tips for you!

Weekly Household Tip

To keep your garbage disposal clean and smelling fresh, use a combination of baking soda, vinegar, and citrus fruit.

Pour about a 1/2 cup of baking soda down the drain.  Add 1 cup of vinegar.  This reaction will break up any build up.  Then rinse with hot water.

To freshen the garbage disposal, add a few slice of lemon or orange and run the disposal.

Another idea to keep your disposal fresh and the blades sharp is to freeze citrus slices and vinegar in ice cube trays.  Just pop a frozen vinegar cube in your disposal when needed. How easy is that?!

Weekly Blogging Tip

This may not be a very popular tip, but I learned this at The Haven Conference several years ago at an SEO class.

Using your full name on your blog gives your blog credibility and authority. Let’s face it… in this day and age, if someone REALLY wants to find out your last name, it’s not difficult to do so. So, why not list it on your blog, which is a business, and give your site more authority? Other businesses list full names, right?

Are you ready to start the party?!
