Happy Tuesday, friends! I hope you’re having a good start to the week!

It was another glorious weekend here in Connecticut. I am so thankful that I was able to spend some time with a very dear, lifelong friend, celebrating my birthday. We enjoyed breakfast, pedicures, and then a visit to a local winery. As I get older, I really just appreciate time spent with family and friends who are like family.

On Sunday, my son, Chris, and I walked in support of my mom at the Walk to End Alzheimer’s. Seeing all of the supporters gives me hope that we will someday end this cruel disease.

It’s amazing that we’re more than halfway through October and will be turning the calendar to November soon! To help us get ready, I am sharing some fabulous features. I know you will love these simple and beautiful ideas for your home.

Weekly Household Tip

With holiday baking time approaching, I have been sharing some baking tips with you each week. You might enjoy this simple tip to help keep brown sugar soft and this tip to soften butter quickly. I have another baking tip for you this week.

When making homemade pie crust, you want to use cold butter. However, it can be difficult to work with. To make it easier, consider grating your cold butter. Using a simple hand grater can make your butter less chunky, while keeping it cold.
