Welcome to the December Pinterest Challenge Blog Hop, hosted by My Pinterventures. The purpose of this Pinterest Challenge is to motivate all the participants of this hop (and you too) to not just pin, but to make it happen! I am excited to join in with this creative group of bloggers!

This month, I chose to share one of my favorite holiday cocktails from Ali at Gimme Some Oven. This Sparkling Cranberry Orange Sangria is one that I have made and enjoyed for the past few years.  It is a great cocktail to make for holiday entertaining.  The combination of cranberry and orange is festive, sweet, and full of flavor.  The addition of sparkling wine with its bubbly fizz makes it a little more fancy for the holidays!

I recently wanted to make it for a holiday get together, but when I went to the pin, I discovered that the recipe was no longer available. I needed to go from memory. With this inspiration pin and a little trial and error, I have a recipe that I am happy to serve at my next holiday get together and share with you!

How to Make this Seasonal Sangria

  • In a large pitcher, combine cranberries and orange slices with orange liqueur and cranberry juice.
  • Next, stir well to combine.
  • Them just let this combination sit for a few hours to allow the flavors to meld together.

  2. Looks like a great drink for the holidays. Silly question, but do you eat the cranberries in it or is it for show?

    1. Thank you, Erlene! Honestly, I have never eaten the cranberries and used them just for show, but I am sure you can. Merry Christmas!
