New Gifts from Home Depot on Black Friday!

This is a sponsored post, but all opinions are my own.

Do you enjoy Black Friday shopping? My daughter and I LOVE it! We get up really early, with coffee, our advertisements, and lists in hand, ready to get some deals. This year my friend, Lisa, will be joining us. One stop we will definitely be making this Black Friday is Home Depot.

This year has been a busy year of transitions for my family. I recently sold my family home, the little cape-style house on the Connecticut shoreline that had been the setting of my family’s story since my grandparents built it in 1952. When my grandparents were no longer with us, the house became my mom’s. This home is full of wonderful memories. When I think of this place, I can’t help but smile.

Recently, I had to sell it. Sadly, my mom has Alzheimer’s Disease. With the level of care that my mom requires, this house provided the resources that are needed to help my mom live a comfortable life. As difficult as it was for me, there is a silver lining to this story. My life-long friend, Lisa, a friend who is truly more like family, purchased the house. She has asked for my help in updating and decorating the home.

Over the past couple of months, Lisa and I have made many trips to Home Depot. From appliances to light fixtures, rugs, and flooring, Home Depot has been a go-to place for all things related to transitioning and updating this special home.

Now that the holiday season is approaching, Home Depot will be a store we will look to as we prepare to get ready for the holidays. It has both seasonal decorations for the home, as well as unique and useful gifts. With fresh trees and wreaths, as well as gifts for the home chef and do-it-yourselfer, Home Depot has you covered.

There are plenty of savings to be had for home improvement and tools on Black Friday too! I have become more comfortable trying out new projects around the house. As a result, there are a couple of tools that I will be looking forward this year! I have been planning a project for my own home after the holidays. After cleaning out my family home, I have inherited a few things and have been mixing styles…old and new. As a result, I have repainted my living room and would like to add some more character to my home. I plan to paint and add board and batten to the dining room and possibly the hallway. For this project, a nail gun would be a great investment! I’m hoping that I will find one on sale!

Do you enjoy Black Friday shopping?  Is there something special that is on your list this year?  If so, be sure to  check out Home Depot for their Black Friday Savings!  Home Depot is not open on Thanksgiving day, but will will open at 6:00 a.m. on Friday to greet their holiday shoppers.  Set your alarm, grab a cup of coffee, and head on over!
