Sausage and Peppers in the Slowcooker

This easy recipe comes together in just a few minutes and cooks throughout the day. Enjoy it as a grinder, over pasta, over spaghetti squash, or on its own!

Serves: 6
  • 2 packages of mild Italian chicken sausage
  • 1 large onion
  • 2 green peppers
  • 1 jar of marinara sauce
  • ½ - ¾ teaspoon sugar
  1. Brown the sausage in a pan on the stove top.
  2. Peel and slice the onion.
  3. Place the onion in the bottom of the slow cooker.
  4. Put the sausage in the slow cooker.
  5. Pour jar of sauce over the onions and sausage.
  6. Sprinkle with sugar and top with pepper slices.
  7. Cook on low for 8 hours.
  8. Serve this recipe as a grinder, over pasta, with spaghetti squash, or on its own.
