Slowcooker Cream of Chicken Soup

Come home to enjoy this thick and hearty soup that cooks all day. Easy and delicious, this recipe is sure to please!

  • 1 can cream of celery soup
  • 2 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 packet wild rice and seasonings (I like Caroline Long Grain and Wild Rice)
  • ½ teaspoon poultry seasoning
  • ¾ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon pepper
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 small onion
  • 1 bag of frozen vegetables
  • 1 whole boneless chicken breast
  • 1 cup of half and half
  1. Whisk together soup, broth, and water.
  2. Mix in rice with seasoning, poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  3. Add onion, frozen vegetables, chicken, and bay leaf.
  4. Set slow cooker to low setting and cook for 8 hours.
  5. After 8 hours, remove bay leaf and discard.
  6. Remove chicken and shred.
  7. Add chicken and 1 cup half and half to the soup.
  8. Cook on high in slow cooker for another 15 minutes.
