Hello! I am so excited to be joining a group of amazingly creative bloggers for the Pinterest Challenge, hosted by Cindy from CountyRoad407.com. If you are visiting from Everyday Edits, welcome! I am so glad you are here! Didn’t you just love Laura’s patriotic centerpiece!

For this Pinterest Challenge, each month one inspiration photo is chosen and each of the participating bloggers use that photo to recreate something similar but in their own personal style.

This month we are celebrating all things red, white, and blue. It is going to be a Patriotic Palooza!

Our beautiful inspiration photo comes from the Edith & Evelyn Blog.

Easy Patriotic Decor Ideas

Welcome to my back porch! With Memorial Day, Flag Day, and the 4th of July right around the corner, is the perfect time to decorate my porch in all things red, white, and blue! I shopped my home and tried to use what I had for easy and budget friendly patriotic decor.

Use Fabric

Instead of a tablecloth, I used a simple piece of fabric I had picked up at Walmart. I love the pop of color it brings to the table! For the place settings, I used my DIY cloth napkins, along with my favorite Nantucket basketweave dishes. Do you spot one of my DIY faux mercury glass votive holders too? Would you believe that this votive holder was made out of a yogurt jar?

Add Flowers and Flags

A couple hydrangea stems and bright red carnations from the grocery store, along with some pretty ranunculus from my yard, create a simple centerpiece. I added bow made of red and white gingham ribbon and two American stick flags to the mason jar to finish it off. In less than 5 minutes, this pretty patriotic flower arrangement was created.

A couple more stick flags were added to some of my pots. These stick flags can be found at grocery stores, big box stores, or even your local dollar store. My blue and white decoupage pot also found its way onto the porch.

Pillows in shades of red, white, and blue

To add some patriotic touches to the wicker couch, I dug out this festive stars and stripes pillow, along with these fun red and white striped pillows. For the chairs, I kept the same blue floral pillows from my coastal porch.

I hope this inspires you to add a bit of Patriotic spirit to your porch. Later in the summer, I can change out the pillows and take the flags out of the planters for a quick and easy transition back to basics, but for now we’re going to enjoy the red, white, and blue.
