5 Easy Ideas to Welcome Spring Into Your Kitchen

Spring has arrived on the calendar, but here in Connecticut, we’re anxiously waiting for some warmer weather. So although there’s still a chill in the air, I am refreshing my kitchen for Spring! With these 5 easy, budget-friendly ideas, you can get your kitchen ready for spring too!

1. Add Fresh and Faux Plants and Flowers

Add some color, texture, and life to your kitchen with fresh and faux flowers and plants. Would you believe that these are faux tulips? They look so realistic, especially when paired with real forsythia stems. Do you ever mix real and faux flowers?

While shopping at Fresh Market last week, I picked up those beautiful Gerber Daisies that you can see in the background. I also have some fresh mint in a pot on my window sill. I love the scent of fresh herbs in the kitchen!

When you can’t do fresh flowers and greenery, use faux. Nowadays, the quality of faux flowers has improved and so many look very realistic. This wooden tray is from Target’s Dollar Spot. I just added some faux beaded eucalyptus, along with a few floral stems and a candle. So easy and inexpensive!

2. Hang a Wreath

Wreaths aren’t just for exterior doors. Add a wreath to an interior door, or maybe on the interior of a window or on a chalkboard. It will bring some color and texture to your space. Over on Facebook, I had done a LIVE, where I made this wreath.

3. Bring in Pops of Color with Fresh Fruit

Head to the grocery store and use your fresh produce to add pops of color to your decor! Gather produce that doesn’t need to be refrigerated and display them in bowls, baskets, decorative containers, or even on a pretty cake stand.

Along with produce, display your fresh baked goods too!

4. Add New Linens in a Fun, Spring Color

Adding new linens in an easy and budget-friendly way to bring a fresh pop of color to your kitchen. You don’t have to completely change out all of your daily linens. Simply, place a pretty new dishtowel in an eye-catching spot or add new runner to your table.

5. Bring in Color and Patterns with Melamine Dishware

Melamine dishware is a great way to add beautiful color and patterns to your kitchen. This low-cost dishware comes in an endless selection of colors and patterns. It adds an elegance to your table, while being very affordable.
